Leggie White in, pacer Clark out
MELBOURNE: Leg spinner Cameron White, rushed into the Australia squad after an injury to Brad Hogg, has been named in the team for the opening match against the World XI.
The Victoria captain, who impressed with both bat and ball in his state’s 12-run loss to the World XI, was added to Australia’s squad when Hogg was for surgery on a knee injury.
TEAM: Ponting (captain), Gilchrist, Katich, Martyn, Hussey, Clarke, Watson, Symonds, White, Brett Lee, McGrath, Bracken.

Three spinners to probe Oz weakness
MELBOURNE: The World XI will complement a strong batting line-up with three frontline spin bowlers in their squad for the first of three one-day matches.
With the selectors expecting the pitch to play low and slow, they have included spin bowlers Muralitharan, Vettori and Afridi.
