SANGRUR, June 17: Santosh Kumari, a resident of Moom village who mothered five daughters, committed suicide along with her four children by jumping into the Bathinda canal from Doomwala bridge this afternoon. According to sources, Santosh had actually jumped into the canal along with all her six children (she had recently adopted a son - Rampal), but two of them were rescued by a youth who was crossing the bridge at the time.Till 8.45 pm today only two bodies - those of two-year-old Jyoti and four-month-old Rampal - had been recovered. Tarsem Singh, Bhadour Police Station munshi, told The Indian Express that search for the other bodies was continuing.
