Amid claims of a record tourist rush to the Valley, an alarming fact has emerged — that infiltration has stepped up across the LoC. But senior police officials, while admitting infiltration has increased, say the problem is not as serious as it is made out to be.

‘‘A few militants may have managed to sneak into the state, otherwise it is not possible to cross through the barbed wire fencing,’’ an official said.
