ARNOS VALE, April 6: The West Indies, spurred by rookie fast bowlers Nixon McLean and Mervyn Dillon, secured a comfortable four-wicket victory over England with 12.2 overs to spare in the fourth Cable and Wireless one-day cricket international yesterday.

It gave the home team an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series prior to Wednesday’s finale in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. England, batting on winning the toss, was limited to 149 all out off 48.5 overs. The West Indies eased to its target of 150 with few alarms through half centuries by opener Clayton Lambert (52: 63b, 6×4) and captain Brian Lara (51: 64b, 7×4), who was adjduged Man of the Match.
