Here are little things you can do for the environment. And these little acts do not take much time, only a little energy and willingness on your part. you can also involve your friends in these activities and form a club of your own which can also help create awareness among the people.

Conserve natural resources:
1) Close the water tap after use.2) Ask your parents/teachers to get leaking taps repaired.3) Fill a glass with only as much water as you need.4) Turn the tap only for a slight flow.5) Wash vegetables and fruit in a vessel full of water rather than under running water.6) Avoid using a hose to wash cars or to water plants.7) Start your own nursery. Saplings make good gift items.8) Plant only indigenous trees, shrubs or grass wherever possible.9) Apply a wood preservative to timber.10) Use fallen leaves and flowers to enrich garden soil.11) Use organic waste from the kitchen and garden to make manure.12) Invite the attention of civic authorities towards environmental problems.13) Invite the attention of the forest department towards wood cutting.

Instead, complain to concerned authorities.2) Avoid animal-tested products.3) Stop buying and selling wild animals or birds.4) Plant trees and shrubs which attract wildlife.5) Watch environment-related films, read relevant books and attend talks to enrich your knowledge.6) Join an environmental organisation.7) Enjoy nature silently without disturbing it. When in a forest, never talk loudly, never play loud music or smoke.8) Never throw waste materials in the forest. Take it home instead.9) Report any hunting incidences to authorities.10) Be a naturalist and go bird watching.11) Invite the attention of concerned authorities to protect the environment.
