In his first comments on the tour next month after the Indian security team’s return from Pakistan, cricket captain Saurav Ganguly today said ‘‘the tour is on’’ and his entire team would be making the trip. He said Harbhajan Singh would be the only one dropping out of the tour, purely on medical grounds.

Speaking to reporters at the Writers’ Buildings, where had gone to hand over a cheque to West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee for the expansion of B C Roy Child Hospital, Ganguly said he had not heard any member of the team say that he was reluctant to tour Pakistan because of security concerns.

He said his team is ‘‘mentally and physically prepared’’ for the tour. The full team, including Sachin Tendulkar, he said, was going to Pakistan.
