To strengthen its market share,bike maker Yamaha today introduced new variants of its premium segment bikes FZ16 and FZ-S with some added features,priced at Rs 65,000 and Rs 67,000 (ex-showroom,Delhi),respectively. "With the refreshed versions of FZ16 and FZ-S,we want to strengthen our presence in the highly competitive 150cc+ segment and increase our share from 12 per cent to 20 per cent by year-end," India Yamaha Motor Director and Chief Sales Officer Koji Arai said in a statement. The company has added stylish graphics in the new variants with some added colour options,targeting the youth. The 153cc bikes will be Bharat Stage-III emission norms compliant. India Yamaha sold over one lakh units of the FZ series. It sold 85,000 units of FZ16 and FZ-S in last fiscal,which accounted for about 40 per cent of the company's total sales.
