Beatles break-up letter to go under the hammer
NEW YORK: A legal letter,which reportedly led to the break-up of The Beatles is all set to go under the hammer with an initial price tag of 175,000. The letter,signed by John Lennon,Ringo Starr and George Harrison,is addressed to Sir Paul McCartneys lawyer and father-in-law Lee Eastman and fires him as the bands legal counsel. Dated 18 April,1969,the letter reads,You are not authorised sic to act or hold yourself out as the attorney sic or legal representative of The Beatles.
Oprah breaks down while denying lesbian rumours
LOS ANGELES: Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey broke down when quizzed about lesbian rumours surrounding her and best friend Gayle King,in a deeply personal interview to Barbara Walters. For 25 years guests have bared their souls on her show,but Winfrey could not maintain her composure in the face of questions by Walters and ended up crying. I am not even kind of lesbian. I have said we are not gay enough times. It irritates me8230; somebody must think Im lying, she said.
