Nothing further has been heard on the matter of BJP deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha S S Ahluwalia meeting Congress leader Ahmed Patel and mooting a proposal to accord ministerial rank to chairpersons of  two national alliances in Parliament Sonia Gandhi UPA and L K Advani NDA. The reason? Well,the RSS bosses at Nagpur shot down the suggestion. Their stern,though sugarcoated,message to BJP leaders was that the move would send a wrong signal to people that Advaniji was after a post. The party has since abandoned the idea.
