Volkswagen March sales up 3%

Car maker Volkswagen said its sales for March rose 2.85 per cent to 8,326 units.

Car maker Volkswagen today said its sales for March rose 2.85 per cent to 8,326 units.

The company had posted sales of 8,095 units in the same period last year,Volkswagen said in a statement.

The two models — hatchback Polo and sedan Vento – were the major contributors to the overall sales,it added.

“The month of March has proved to be the best-selling month for the Volkswagen’s brand. This instills our confidence that our car lines especially the Polo and the Vento have been able to successfully prove its mettle despite the strong competition in the market,” Volkswagen Group Sales India Director (Passenger Cars) Neeraj Garg said.
