After controversies pertaining to the inquest report panchnama) and post-mortem report,the Nagpur police have landed in yet another one in the Yogita Thakre murder case. The seven-year-old girls elder sister Nisha has pointed out a different car as being the one from which Yogitas body was retrieved. While the police records show the Fiat Linea (MH 31 CS2727) as the car in question,Nisha on Tuesday identified a Honda CR-V (MH31 DB2727) as the one she had seen Nishas body being retrieved from. Honda CR-V is the car that state BJP chief Nitin Gadkari usually uses and it is this cars number that had appeared in the police press note after the incident happened on May 19. Police records,however,mention the make of the car as Fiat Linea. The police are firm on their claim. It is the Fiat car. We are sending relevant parts of the car for forensic test to Mumbai, said Assistant Commissioner of Police J D Dabhade. Dabhade further said,All the cars are similarly numbered (2727),but we are sure the one in question is a Fiat Linea. Asked how Nisha identified the other car,Dabhade said,I dont know.
