Old havelis have a charm of their own,but when director Tigmanshu Dhulia selected a beautiful haveli in Gujarat to shoot his Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster,he hadn't anticipated playing host to unwanted guests. When we landed at the haveli to shoot,we noticed that there were 35-40 beehives in it! We did not get them removed as the locals said that there is a special time to extract the honey from the hives. But one day,we saw the crew rushing out of the room with a swarm of bees buzzing behind them. There was total chaos on the set. The strong lights had disturbed them and the bees just swarmed the place. I was especially scared for my actors in case they were stung and landed with swollen faces. Randeep Hooda was ready to shoot but I wasn't willing to take a chance, and got the hives removed the next day, said Dhulia. The director said that the set was even visited by a leopard one night. We heard some strange sounds when we were shooting a scene, and when a spot boy went to look,he saw a leopard sitting in the nullah. But no one wanted to go near it,so we just let him be,and continued with the shooting. We were relieved when it went away on its own, he smiled.
