Days after a Swiss tourist was gangraped in Madhya Pradesh,a 32-year-old British tourist jumped off the first floor of her hotel room in Agra to escape an alleged molestation bid on Tuesday morning. Police said she sustained head and leg injuries.

After some time, when the woman, who was to leave for Varanasi this morning, was packing her bags,Chauhan reportedly entered her room and insisted that he would give her a massage.

According to the police, the woman alleged that Chauhan tried to stop her from leaving the room. She then went to the balcony and jumped off the first floor. She told the police that she tried to shout and alert the hotel staff, but nobody came to her rescue.

She was later taken to the district hospital. “She has some swelling in her legs. The doctor said she has suffered a ligament injury,” said Agra SSP Subhash Dubey.

“We have shifted her to another hotel and have asked two women constables to be with her. A case has been registered and two persons have been arrested,” added Dubey.
