Thousands of workers cutting across political affiliations Thursday staged a massive demonstration here demanding steps to contain price rise,increase in minimum wages and payment of equal wages and benefits to contract workers even as the government indicated that the GoM looking into the issue is likely to recommend an increase in minimum monthly wages and a minimum pension of Rs 1,000 per month.
