The month of August brings the 600th issue of childrens comic book,Tinkle. To mark the occasion,the team at Amar Chitra Katha has come out with a special collectors edition,which features 118 pages of fiction and non-fiction content. The publishers have also overhauled the look and feel of the book. We have always used matte paper in the past,but from this edition onwards,we will be using gloss to give the pages a sheen, says Rajani Thindiath,editor of Tinkle. The edition still upholds ACKs mantra of Learning with fun and has a special introduction from Lalita Pai,the wife of late founder Anant Pai. The editors have also commissioned authors such as Anushka Ravishankar,who wrote Elephants Never Forget,and fantasy writer Samit Basu to contribute to the edition.
