Padyatras face telangana blockThe TDPs N Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddys sister Sharmila Reddy of the YSR Congress have embarked on separate padyatras with plans to cover the entire state,but Telangana leaders have warned both that they are unwelcome in that region. Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram said the people will prevent any political leader opposed to statehood from passing through. Though the TDP and the YSR Congress have both made statements that they support the statehood demand,Telangana leaders feel they have been ambiguous about it. Naidu and Sharmila are still marching in the Rayalaseema region where they started their padayatras,and both hope to enter Telangana next month. Telangana leaders,meanwhile,have asked all ministers hailing from the region not to participate in AP Formation Day on November 1. File search An IFS officer officer on deputation to the AP State Minorities Finance Commission was apparently caught taking away files that could prove corruption charges against him. Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi,managing director of the commission,was suspended by the state government last week after it was found that Rs 56 crore was siphoned off from the commissions accounts by four bank agents facilitating fixed deposits. After a complaint by the secretary for minorities welfare,the CID had arrested the four agents and is investigating Rizvis role. He had allegedly taken out several files on the fixed deposits and put them in his car when secretary for minorities welfare M Dana Kishore ambushed him,according to the secretary. Rizvi reportedly fled using a back exit. After Chargers Hyderabadis will miss their home team if Deccan Chargers,which is in financial and legal difficulties,stays terminated. The team may not make it to the next IPL season as the Supreme Court has refused to stay its termination by the BCCI.
