Telemedication facility launched in Bastar

Many patients were administered treatment at six locations,including Kondagaon and Jagdalpur.

To help Bastar tribals,the CRPF and AIIMS,Raipur,came together on Tuesday and launched telemedication facilities for over 100 locations spread across the Maoist-hit areas of Chhattisgarh.

Many patients were administered treatment at six locations,including Kondagaon and Jagdalpur. “Many had turned up on day one itself,” said Zulfiquar Hussain,IG,CRPF.

Officers said they will take special steps to ensure that hundreds of villages located near their camps avail these facilities. As Bastar districts are marked by poor health facilities,CRPF said that the initiative would help the locals.

AIIMS specialist doctors will hold teleconferencing twice a week through Skype,phone and Digital Satellite Phone Terminal.
