Suzlon Energy,the world's third-largest wind turbine maker,said on Friday it has signed an order worth about $1.28 billion for 1,000 megawatts of wind power projects with Caparo Energy India. Caparo Energy India is a wholly owned subsidiary of AIM listed Caparo Energy. The deal is Suzlon's largest single order,according to Chief Financial Officer Robin Banerjee. Half of the capacity will be commissioned by March 2012,and the other half by the following year,Suzlon said. Shares in Suzlon were up by about 0.7 per cent in early Friday trade,outperforming a broader Mumbai market that was down by 0.5 per cent.
