The first day at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 in Mumbai saw both Goth and glamour on the ramp. Themed Dark Angels,Jatin Varmas love affair with Goth was visible in the form of sequined gowns and dresses with metallic embellishments. Inspired by Tim Burton and Edgar Allen Poe,Vizyons designs played with silhouettes and cuts. Glamour icon Marilyn Monroe was Ritu Beris muse for her luxury line of jumpsuits and jackets,whereas Pallavi Jaikishan turned to nature for inspiration for her collection of ethnic Indian wear.
