Market regulator Sebi has asked listed companies to mandatorily submit an annual business responsibility report,wherein they will have to disclose compliance to various environmental,social and governance aspects,including matters like sexual harassment complaints.
The Business Responsibility Reports (BRs) would be mandatory for top 100-listed entities based on market capitalisation at BSE and NSE as on March 31,2012.

The norms have been issued in line with National Voluntary Guidelines on Social,Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business that was published by Ministry of Corporate Affairs in July 2011.
