Amid allegations by Hindu and Christian outfits against ‘love jehad’,the Sangh Parivar has begun ‘moral policing’. On Wednesday evening, when the police took into custody a Muslim youth and a Hindu girl from a beach in Kannur,Sangh Parivar activists rushed to the police station, insisting that action be taken against the “jehadi” youth. However, the police let the duo go as they found nothing suspicious. “The shadow police of the women’s police cell in Kannur found the duo in the beach. On seeing the approaching police party, the girl looked perturbed. We took them to the station and found them to be friends. Both of them were let off as there was no complaint from any quarters,” said police sources in Kannur.
