Refer to article Changing dynamics of GECs in Screen dated April 1 7. Television has been showing the same old kitchen politics,packaged with new faces,better and humongous sets and big budgets. It is annoying to say that the saas bahu sagas that started with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii are still being made. The TV channels should know that after a heavy day,viewers need to watch something light.
Thanks to the stand up comedy shows,they have really come up as life savers. Though at times,the jokes in such shows sound monotonous atleast they are better than watching people in pain and the dirty politics they play on each other.
The reality shows too are amusing some times. One is not sure whether they are scripted or not but they are entertaining. Hope channels bring more shows to entertain and connect with the youth.
