Recruitment for 57,000 posts in PRIs starts in Rajasthan: CM

The process to recruit around 50,000 third-grade teachers and fill 7,000 other posts in five departments at the panchayat level has commenced in Rajasthan,Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said.

The process to recruit around 50,000 third-grade teachers and fill 7,000 other posts in five departments at the panchayat level has commenced in Rajasthan,Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said.

“We have started the recruitment process to fill around 57,000 vacant posts including 50,000 posts of third grade teachers in PRIs,” Gehlot told reporters last evening.

He said that state government has decided to transfer power of five departments – Primary Education,Agriculture,Medical and Health,Women and Child Development,and Social Justice and Empowerment – to the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).

“Keeping procedural delays in mind,we have decided to make temporary arrangements by offering retired personnel two years’ employment to ensure the smooth transfer of power of the five departments to the PRIs to strengthen them,” Gehlot said.

The Chief Minister also announced a bonus for employees of the state government,which would cost the exchequer Rs 223 crores.

The employees will be entitled to bonus not exceeding Rs 3,387 for any individual on 30 days’ basic salary,he said.
