The music of Ramesh Deo Productions’ next venture Jeta was released recently by famous singer Suresh Wadkar.

The music of Ramesh Deo Productions’ next venture Jeta was released recently by famous singer Suresh Wadkar. The unique aspect is that with this film Radio City 91.1 FM and Universal Music have come together to release and promote Marathi film music, for the first time ever. RDP teams up with Lokmat Entertainment for the production of this film.

Speaking on the occasion,Wadkar said that it was time that Marathi music became universal. “Music has no language barrier. And now with Universal Music coming into the picture,it will be heard universally,” he beamed. This is singer Vaishali Samant’s second film after RDP’s Ghosth Lagna Nantarchi for which she is composing the music. She is elated that Suresh Wadkar,Shankar Mahadevan and Avadhoot Gupte have lent their voice for her songs. She stated that she was glad that today music is getting a lot of exposure because of radio.

Actor Ajinkya Deo marks his debut in direction with this film along with Amol Shetge. He will also be sharing the screen space with his parents veteran actors Seema and Ramesh Deo. They were last seen together in Sarja in 1987.

Seema, who makes her comeback on screen after a gap of 14 years after working in films from 1957 to ‘95,said that she agreed to do the film only on the condition that one of her sons,Ajinkya and Abhinay, direct it. But since Abhinay is busy directing the Hindi film Delhi Belly,he asked his mother to request his older brother to wield the megaphone. “Ajinkya had to take up direction for me and I am glad that he heeded my request. I am happy with his work. Ramesh belongs to the old school of acting where everything was loud while Raja Paranjape was my guru so my style of acting is mild. Ajinkya had to keep reminding his father to mellow down during his scenes,” said the proud mother who, except for only technical aspects, found that nothing much had changed in film taking. Ajinkya completed the shooting of Jeta in just 23 days,in and around Mumbai and Pune.
Ramesh Deo could not be present at the music release function as he was in hospital,to undergo an angiography the next day. To release on August 6 in over 130 centres all over Maharashtra,Jeta, produced by Devenedra Darda, also stars Manva Naik,Sandeep Mehta,Prasad Oak,Sharad Ponkshe,Aniket Kelkar and others.
