A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl was injured seriously in Khammam after her father allegedly pushed her out of a moving car on Monday. V Devendra,a grain agent, allegedly pushed his daughter out of the car after an argument with his wife,Kalpana. The girl was found on the Hyderabad-Khammam highway, and taken to hospital. She has suffered injuries on her forehead, arms and legs and has bruises all over her body. It is evident that she was violently pushed out of the car. She is stable now, DSP Balakrishna Rao said. The girl regained consciousness in the evening and told the police that she had gone to Hyderabad with her parents for a wedding. She said her parents were arguing over the weekend and on Monday, her father put her in the car and drove towards Khammam. Her father then beat her before pushing her out of the moving car leaving her with critical injuries, Rao said. The police are checking call records of the parents. They might have quarrelled over the phone while Devendra was driving his daughter to Khammam. When Kalpana threatened to lodge a complaint against him for taking their daughter without informing her,he might have pushed the girl out in anger, an official said. The police found Devendras car in a market in Khammam town. While the police are on the look-out for Devendra,Kalpana, who is taking care of the girl, will be questioned again.
