An undertrial in the 2006 Vadodara communal riots case,Shakil Hussain Teja Gulam Hussain,has alleged he was offered Rs 10 lakh by three Sabarmati Jail officials to kill suspended DSP N K Amin inside jail. An accused in Sohrabuddin encounter,Amin wants turn approver in the case,which has been opposed by other accused officers. Shaikh filed an application in a Vadodara court on Saturday,saying he had refused the offer and now feared for his life. HE claimed the three jail officials he gave the names Jadeja,Jailor Makwana and Waghela beat him up,breaking a bone in his hand,when he refused to kill Amin. He submitted an x-ray report to certify this.
