Automotive electrical and electronic products major Pricol Ltd is expecting to cross a sales turnover of Rs 1,700 crore by 2015,a top company official said today. With an estimated year-on-year growth of 20 per cent,the company would touch the mark,with its sales turnover for the year 2010-11 standing at Rs 814 crore,Vanitha Mohan,Executive Director,Pricol,told reporters here. As it is receiving goods export orders and lot of global opportunities,Pricol is in the process of expanding vendor base to supply for its requirement of nearly 2,000 components,the company was producing in its plants,she said. Stating that the units in Pune and Manesar are doing well,the company said it wants to localise supply base to achieve faster production. Vanitha said the company wants vendors to supply sub-assemblies,which would be made into finished products at the company's various units. She said Pricol would identify a tier-1,tier-2 supplier base enabling sourcing of components and sub-assemblies from plant-proximate vendors. Pricol is a tier-1 supplier of automotive electrical and electronic products,engine accessories and various sensor products.
