Lucknow: SP has been demanding the removal of Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh,DGP Brij Lal and Principal Secretary (Home) Kunwar Fateh Bahadur Singh,alleging that they are acting as agents of the BSP. On Saturday,the EC directed the UP government to remove Brij Lal and Fateh Bahadur. However,SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said Fateh Bahadur was still looking after Appointment and Personnel department and Brij Lal was now DG of PAC,which is engaged for poll duties.

Goa: Cong-NCP tie-up this week

Panaji: The Congress-NCP alliance for the Goa Assembly polls would be announced this week,Pradesh Congress Committee president Subhash Shirodkar said here on Monday. The Congress is meeting to finalise their candidates on January 13. It is at that time that the announcement is expected to be made, NCP Goa state chief Surendra Sirsat said.
