Pakistanis blame US for Lahore bombings
Several Pakistanis said that even if Islamist extremists were behind the slaughter at the Data Darbar shrine in Lahore,the root cause of the violence was the US war in Afghanistan,its missile strikes in Pakistans tribal areas,and its alliance with Islamabad. Qaiser Hameed,a car dealer in Karachi,said the attacks are directly linked with the situation in Afghanistan and the American aggression there.
Militants kill 2 Frontier Constabulary personnel
At least two personnel of the paramilitary Frontier Constabulary were killed on Friday when militants attacked a security checkpost near Peshawar,a security official said. The incident occurred at Mattani,located on the outskirts of Peshawar and close to the Akka Khel area of Khyber tribal regions.
