Hectic preparations are underway in the state capital with BJP state chief Vasundhara Raje poised to take oath as Chief Minister of Rajasthan on Friday. Over 50,000 people are expected to be part of the swearing-in ceremony at the ramparts of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and the guest list includes BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi, party president Rajnath Singh,Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh.

Raje,on her part, attended the swearing-in ceremony of Raman Singh Thursday and will also participate in Chouhan’s oath-taking ceremony on Saturday. With party leadership still undecided over the final list of legislators to be included in her ministry,Raje will be the only one taking oath on Friday and rest of her ministers will be sworn in next week.

Over 30,000 chairs are being laid out on Janpath for visitors. Sources said senior civic officials have been pulled up by Raje for lack of cleanliness in the city.

Invites have been sent out to all the 199 elected legislators, including outgoing CM Ashok Gehlot.

Meanwhile, bureaucrats and IPS officers were seen queuing up in front of Raje’s bungalow to congratulate her. Rumours are doing rounds that a bureaucratic shuffle is on the cards once Raje takes over. Chief secretary C K Mathew and DGP Harish Meena, both of whom had proceeded on leave after being accused by the Opposition of unduly favouring the Gehlot-led government, are likely to be replaced.
