NRHM: CBI gets UP nod to prosecute 22 doctors

After being pulled up by the Allahabad High Court last week,the state government on Monday gave sanction to prosecute 22 doctors and two employees of the health and family welfare departments

After being pulled up by the Allahabad High Court last week,the state government on Monday gave sanction to prosecute 22 doctors and two employees of the health and family welfare departments who are accused in two CBI cases related to alleged financial irregularities in the implementation of NRHM in Lucknow district.

In May,the CBI had sent a list of 22 doctors and five employees to the government for permission to prosecute them.

On Monday,Additional Advocate General (AAG) Raj Bahadur Singh Yadav said the government had given sanction for the prosecution of 22 doctors and two officials.
