The turmoil in the BJP showed no signs of easing off with the party on Friday putting off its national executive meet, scheduled for October 28 and 29. Party president Rajnath Singhs term ends by the year-end and the coming national executive meeting would be his last as party president. According to the BJP constitution, its national executive must meet every three months. Party leaders said the national executive meet could now be held in the second or third week of November. The BJP Parliamentary Board meeting here on October 22 after the results for three Assembly elections are declared could take a final decision on the matter, they added. The BJP has, meanwhile, failed to announce the names for the coming bypolls in Rajasthan while it has announced the names for by-polls in other states. Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said there was nothing unusual about it and the names would be announced before the nomination process ends in the state of Rajasthan. The last date for filing nominations for by-elections to two seats in the state is October 21.
