MMTC to import of 18,000 tonnes of RBD palmolein

MMTC said 18,000 tonnes of RBD palmolein should be sourced from either Indonesia or Malaysia and must reach the Kakinada port,Andhra Pradesh by December 15.

According to industry data,the country’s vegetable oil import has surged by 37 per cent to 86.6 lakh tonnes during the 2008-09 oil year,compared with 63.1 lakh tonnes in the same period last year. Oil year runs from November to October.
