MBA students held for buying 100 SIM cards

They are MBA students of Sinhagad College in Kondhwa buy 100 SIM cards

The Pune Police have arrested two MBA students for allegedly procuring about 100 SIM cards of various telecom companies by submitting forged driving licences of a woman as identity proof document.

The suspects have been identified as Ravishkumar Baliram Prasad,28,a resident of Chapra in Bihar,and Raviprakash Divakarprasad Patel,24,resident of Singroli in Madhya Pradesh. Both were residing at Sai Boys hostel near Sinhagad College in Kondhwa. They are MBA students of Sinhagad College in Kondhwa.

The police arrested the duo on Friday. Police said the two allegedly forged a driving licence of one Pooja Palande by pasting a different photograph. They submitted the bogus licence and procured about 100 SIM cards of Tata Docomo,Reliance,Idea and other companies. Investigations revealed they purchased SIM cards in bulk to avail free talk-time schemes.

A police officer said the mobile shops sold the SIMs without verifying the documents properly.
