Saaneki – Indelible Impressions of Assam Dance performance

Assam has a rich Neo-Vaishnavite culture,known as Sattriya. Saaneki,conceptualised by Kuhipaat Foundation,is an initiative to showcase this culture. Four different art forms of the Sattriya tradition will be performed on one stage – Borgeet (celestial songs),Modern Sattriya Dance,BhortalNritya (Dance with Cymbals),and Gayan Bayan (Dance with Khol and Cymbals).

A photography exhibition will also be conducted where different symbols of the Sattriya culture will be presented. Mallika Kondoli, the lone PhD holder in Sattriya dance,will grace the occasion with one of her famous performances.
