In yet another blow to the prosecution in the Jammu and Kashmir sex scandal,an alleged victim has turned hostile giving a clean chit to five accused. The 25-year-old had earlier levelled rape charges against former J&K minister Raman Mattoo; former DSP Mohammad Ashraf Mir; Iqbal Khandey,an IAS officer; DSP Counter Insurgency Mohammad Yousuf Mir; and former additional advocate general,J-K,Anil Sethi.
In her previous statement, the victim had alleged that she had intercourse with the five accused and was supplied through Sabeena, the alleged kingpin of the racket.
On Tuesday, she submitted that she had never made any such allegations and that she neither knew the five accused nor Sabeena.
On Monday,another witness,a 45-year-old who is a constable in the J-K Police,had turned hostile,giving a clean chit to Mattoo.
Initially she had alleged that Mattoo in 2004 had called her at his home and sexually assaulted her promising a job for her son. On Monday, she said at the time of the incident as alleged by the CBI Mattoo was in Bangalore and as such there was no question of her visiting his house.
