Expressing dismay over reports of Indian Coast Guard participating in naval exercises with the Sri Lankan Navy commencing there Saturday,Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa Saturday asked PM Manmohan Singh to recall the two ships and Coast Guard personnel participating in the event in Sri Lanka. This is in complete and callous disregard of the strong views and emotions of the people of TN which was clearly and unambiguously conveyed in my previous letters to the PM,through Assembly resolutions and protests,agitations and demonstrations by people of TN,she wrote. India has extended on open hand of co-operation to Sri Lankan Navy through this exercise,she said,adding that this is the same Lankan Navy which continues to prey upon TN fishermen.
