Jamie Chung, who played one of Rob Scheider’s daughters in Grown Ups,has joined the cast of The Hangover Part II,becoming one of the few new faces so far to secure a major role. She will play co-star Ed Helms’ new fiancee. (His character married Heather Graham in the first movie during that “lost night”) The Warner Bros. film, currently shooting in Los Angeles under the direction of Todd Phillips, reunites the stars from the original — Helms,Bradley Cooper,Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha — and transposes them in a misbegotten trip to Thailand. Ken Jeong and Mike Tyson will also make a comeback.

Mel Gibson was supposed to have a cameo as a tattoo artist, but the ill-starred actor was dropped by the nervous studio and replaced by Liam Neeson.

Chung, who rose to fame in MTV’s Real World reality series,is one of the stars of Warners’ upcoming Zack Snyder fantasy,Sucker Punch. She recently wrapped a turn as the female lead in Premium Rush,a thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
