Jaiprakash Associates stock up over 6 pct

Shares of Jaiprakash Associates spurted by 6.67 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange amid volatility in the broader market.

The stock rose the most among the 30-Sensex scrips by 6.67 per cent to settle at Rs 90.30 on BSE. The scrip had gained 7.5 per cent to touch an intra-day high of Rs 91.

The scrip surge by 6.56 per cent to Rs 90.20 on the National Stock Exchange on brisk buying.

On the volume front,over one crore shares of the company were traded on the two bourses.

Meanwhile,the BSE benchmark Sensex finished the day on a flattish note at 18,300.90 points.
