Inspite of the volatile market scenario during July,India Inc raised Rs 1,446.9 crore through initial public offers (IPOs) and rights issues in the same month alone,pegging at a growth by 21 per cent over that in June this year,said the Capital Market Review,released by Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Friday.
A sum of Rs 1,446.9 crore was mobilised in July 2011 through 5 issues as compared to Rs 1,195.6 crore with 7 issues in June 2011,showing an increase of 21 per cent over the month, said the report.
Of the five issues in July,three were public issues,while the rest two were rights issues. Corporates had raised a total of Rs 1,195.6 crore through three initial public offerings (IPOs),one equity issue and and three rights issues in June.
