A day after her ministers quit the UPA government in protest against the FDI in retail and hike in diesel price,Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said,I can always hiss if I cant bite.
She was referring to the folklore that Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, the guru of Swami Vivekenanda, had advised a cobra, whom he had told not to bite people, that it could frighten away people by hissing. I can always hiss if cant bite. If the peoples rights are endangered we will hiss. We can bow our heads to Ma,Mati,Manush, but not to the arrogance of power, she said at a state function.
We roar when intimidated. We may be poor, but we have dignity…. What Bengal thinks today, the world thinks tomorrow, the Chief Minister said.
