The 14th edition of Hospitality World,a B2B hospitality exhibition,organised by the Business Publications Division of The Indian Express Ltd,took off here today. Over 150 exhibitors are showcasing products which service various facets of the hospitality industry including housekeeping,technology and design during the two-day event. Some key exhibitors include Panasonic,IRCTC,Parle Agro,IFB,Mrs Bectors,Wang Professionals,Tata Ceramics and Zydus Wellness. Karnataka tourism minister G Janardhana Reddy,who inaugurated the event,said the state government was committed to promote hospitality ventures. Taking into account the great potential Karnataka had for the hospitality sector,it has decided to set up institutes of hotel management at Bellary and Mangalore,he said. Vishwanatha Reddy,director of Karnataka tourism,said,While HospitalityWorld exhibition has grown from 60 exhibitors to over 150 exhibitors in its five editions in Bengaluru,the states tourism has also grown by leaps and bounds. Karnataka has seen a growth in tourist inflow by 20 per cent in the first four months of 2010. Sanna Pakirappa,MP from Raichur and Dinesh Gulati,executive vice president of The Indian Express Ltd,were present on the occasion.
