Hero MotoCorp sales up 3% in Oct

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp reported sales of 5,29,215 units in October.

The country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today reported sales of 5,29,215 units in October,registering an increase of 3.31 per cent.

The company had sold 5,12,238 units in October 2011,Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Commenting on its numbers,Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice- President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said: “The entire range of our new Hero-branded models,including the new launches Maestro and Ignitor has been lapped up by our customers,which is reflected in these numbers.

“We hope that the improved market sentiment will sustain itself as we go forward into the rest of this fiscal,” he added.
