Hero Honda sales up 35.88% in August

Hero Honda Motors Ltd reported a 35.88 per cent jump in its sales at 4,15,137 units in August.

The country’s largest two-wheeler maker,Hero Honda Motors Ltd reported a 35.88 per cent jump in its sales at 4,15,137 units in August compared to sales in the same month last year.

The company had sold 3,05,516 units in August last year.

For the first time ever,the company has recorded more than four lakh despatch sales in a single month,it said in a statement.

“With sales of more than four lakh units,August has been a month of record sales for Hero Honda,” Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

He said the company has lined up some launches during the second half of 2009,including two before the upcoming festival season.
