A case of forgery has also been registered against Kumar for allegedly forging the letterhead and signature of Rajya Sabha MP M A Khan and writing a letter to Minister of Home Affairs making allegations against Reddy and why he should not be made DGP. In petitions filed against each other in the court,Kumar had accused the DGP of owning assetsplots and housesand wealth disproportionate to his income. The DGP countered it by filing a petition accusing Kumar of misusing and misappropriation of funds. The court directed the government to appoint an inquiry officer within two weeks. The court also asked Reddy to submit details of all properties and assets owned by him and his family members within two months.
