The Centre has ordered an “immediate inquiry” into an alleged Rs 1-crore scam in the payment of wages to NREGA workers in a Gujarat village,first reported by The Indian Express. Union Minister for Rural Development C P Joshi has directed that the issue should be examined by a National Level Monitor and the report submitted by November 30.
