Govt may sell 5 pct stake in ONGC

The government is likely to sell 5 per cent stake in ONGC to raise Rs 130 billion.

The government is likely to sell 5 per cent stake in Oil and Natural Gas Corp to raise Rs 130 billion ($2.8 billion),the state-run firm’s chairman R.S. Sharma said on Tuesday.

“Most likely it will happen this fiscal year,” he said.
