The Shiv Sena has broken its silence and come out in support of Hindu group Sanatan Sanstha, members of which were allegedly involved in last weeks bomb blast in Goa.
The editorial comment in the Senas mouthpiece Saamna said that the Sanstha could not be held responsible for the fanatical action of a couple of members. The Sena has also stated that it was a conspiracy by the police and politicians to tarnish the image of Hindus by blaming the Sanstha.
This is a major conspiracy to demoralise Hindus, the Sena has claimed, pointing out that local Congress politicians wanted to destroy Gomantak and Maharashtra from Goa as it was the home of Hindutva.
The Sena has further stated that chairman of the Goa law commission Ramakant Khalap, who has dyed his hair in Congress (colour) after landing in political wilderness, had made allegations against a minister from the Gomantak party, like a mad man. It claimed that local politicians who were using the blast issue to settle scores for political mileage had turned a blind eye to the fact that over 40 idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses had been desecrated and temples damaged in Goa over the past two to four years.
