Genpact Limited has achieved another expansion milestone with the opening of a new facility at Kolkata. Genpact was one of the first organizations to set up business process management operations in the city. This new facility,inaugurated by 'Tiger' Tyagarajan,Chief Operating Officer Genpact is in Unitechs SEZ campus. This new center will enable Genpact to cater to growth across a broad range of business process services,technology services and analytical services and meet growing customer needs and new business. The facility is Genpacts second office in Kolkata. This 2 lakh sq ft. SEZ facility has the capacity to accommodate more than 3,000 employees when fully operational. The range of work will include Finance & Accounting,Business Analytics and Software Development. Announcing the decision,Tiger Tyagarajan,Chief Operating Officer,Genpact,"Genpact has followed a strategy of setting up world-class centers in places where there is highly skilled local talent as well as world class infrastructure. Kolkata has provided us with both of these and we are happy to expand our operations in this city. Genpact currently employs close to 1500 associates in the city and has very ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years in Kolkata.
