I am very excited about the background score of my international film,Bo Mammo. Among Hindi films,I have a phenomenal film in award-winning Marathi director Sanjay Surkars untitled debut Hindi movie,whose subject is football. I am enjoying composing the very different kinds of songs I have to do in this film. It is also my first film with Swanand Kirkire,another National award winner,and I think that we are going to come up with a winner.

I am thrilled at the response to my music in recent times. After Jeetoge tum in Toonpur Ka Superrhero,my Tinku jiya from Yamla Pagla Deewana is being highly appreciated. I am doing a couple of interesting films,but not Murder 2 as I am not doing piecemeal work now.

2011 will see a lot of good music from us. We are very happy with our work on Nikhil Advanis Patiala House,Zoya Akhtars Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara and Farhan Akhtars Don 2. We have tried many new influences in Zoyas film that is shot in Spain and in Don 2. We are also very charged about working on three new films,Chittagong on the Uprising,Housefull 2 and the film that we have just signed,Prakash Jhas Aarakshan. Which way are trends going? One really cannot tell.

Himesh Reshammiya

I am confident that in 2011 I will be back in a big way 8211; as actor,composer and singer 8211; with Studio 18s Ishq Unplugged. Even otherwise 2011 will be an important year for me,beginning with my mainstream international album At Da Edge in English that will be released in 122 countries. My new company,HR Music,will be coming out with about 350 songs that will feature collaborations. It will also launch two big-cast films in which I will star.

Irshad Kamil

I have a good amount of work with Pritam,like Pankaj Kapurs Mausam,Rohit Dhawans Desi Boyz and Atul Agnihotris My Love Story. Both of us believe that we must push the envelope within the periphery of popular music. We must remain within the parameters of the subject too but we have to grow within all this. All the music directors of today are trying to experiment and try out something new within this ambit.

I am also working with two composers for the first time 8211; Sohail Sen in Yash Raj Films Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and A.R.Rahman in Rockstar. Working with Rahman has been a revelation 8211; hes very different,he treats his music as if it is a prayer. I am also working with Vishal-Shekhar after a very long gap in David Dhawans Rascals,ditto with Sandesh Shandilya in a song in Yamla Pagla Deewana.

This is the most important year of my life. Its been over four years since my split with Jatin and for the first time after Munni badnaam hui from Dabangg,people are confident that I can deliver on my own. Abhinav Singh Kash- yap is keen on working in a new film with me,and I have almost completed work on a very interesting love story called Kuch To Baat Hai starring Pratik Babbar and a new girl. It is directed by Ravindra Suryavanshi who has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am also working with some good banners,but the announcements have to come from them first.

Pritam

Love stories always inspire me much more and among my films,Mausam and My Love Story are very musical in scope. I have also almost completed Ferrari Ki Sawaari,which is my first film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra,who is very musical indeed. I just finished Madhur Bhandarkars Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji and it was a really good experience. Then I have Rohan Sippys Dum Maro Dum and Rohit Dhawans Desi Boyz. Agent Vinod may or may not release this year but I am looking forward to it. Besides My Love Story,I also have Ready with Salman Khan,my first two films with him. I am very excited about working with him and I have enjoyed the interaction. Then there are two films of Abbas-Mustan on which I will start work this year 8211; Tips Race 2 and Players.

Wajid for Sajid-Wajid

You can expect to hear great music again from us in 2011 after Dabangg and Veer. A very melodious,challenging yet different experiment is Tezz,our first film with Priyadarshanji and also Venus. Our Office Office,an old assignment,will release soon and it was a different kind of approach as the film is a social satire. We are working again with Gulzarsaab in the film. Another old project is Chatur Singh Two Star and then there is our first film with Javed Akhtar,a very musical film that stars Chirag Paswan.

Shantanu Moitra

This year I have just one Hindi film,Vidhu Vinod Chopras Chitthiya,a contemporary romance,and a Bengali film by Aniruddh Roy Chowdhury with whom I just directed Antarheen. I have high hopes for 2011. The use of music should improve beyond using a song to fill empty spaces! The classical Hindi film song with lip-sync,proper gaayaki and lyrics will be back the way it should be 8211; almost like a screenplay. That is the classical param- para,and 3 Idiots and Dabangg have proved that it will stay. The way Sanjay Leela Bhansali,who is the finest song-visualizer we have now,used music in Guzaarish reaffirmed this. After a deviation of a few years,we are heading back to the times when a song was an experience by itself. You could not repeat a film again and again,but you could experience the bliss of a great song repeatedly! And now,its the demand of the people,which is a change from the way some really good songs went waste in the last two or three years.

We singers generally have no idea when a film will release,so I cannot tell you which films of mine will come in 2011. Often,we are not even sent the album of the film in which we have sung! All I can say is that I recently sang some really good songs for Pritamda and Shantanu Moitra. I have also recorded a really nice song for Amit Trivedi in the film being directed by Owais Hussain,M.F.Husains son. I find his music very quirky!

Sonu Niigaam

The music is just out 8211; I have a really good song in Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji for Pritam. In 2010,I really had some good songs,and in 2011,I will probably start with the re-creation of Main jat yamla from Pratiggya in Yamla Pagla Deewana.

At a personal level,I am happy that the wrong impression that I have settled abroad has been dispelled and my performance at the GIMA Awards has changed my profile and popularity for the better. I am open to anything,even acting,but as a singer,I have decided that I will sing only for people who are committed to good work.

Trends,happily,have changed for the better again after 3 Idiots and Dabangg. People are once again looking at proper singers rather than just about anyone or composers singing themselves! Quality is being hunted for again and the people are refusing to be fooled by supposedly different stuff of poor calibre.

I am working on Chitthiya with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Shantanu Moitra. I have done a song in Vinodjis Ferrari Ki Sawaari,my first with Pritam,and I am also happy with Sanjay Surkars film,my first project with Aadesh Shrivastava. But the only film that will definitely release this year is Yeh Saali Zindagi,in which some lovely melodies have been composed by Nishad Khan.
